Brant Associates is delighted to announce that Ian Brant, Director, has been elected to the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Board of Trustees.
Ian has accepted the position and will be duly elected to the Board of Trustees’ for a tenure of 3 years, commencing at the close of the AGM.
The AGM will take place on Monday 9th July 2018 at 0910hrs or immediately following the Institute’s EGM at the Westin Habour Castle Hotel, Toronto Canada.
Ian says; ‘I’m so proud and excited to have been elected by the membership of the CIOB. The CIOB has 45,000 members worldwide and represents the very best in Construction Management. I am looking forward to stepping up and representing the membership at Board level’.
Brant is commissioned to run a ‘Smash and Grab’ Adjudication on behalf of a new Client.

Brant supports a Land Owner to negotiate ‘Abnormal Development costs’ successfully and officially launches this service.
Brant Associates complete a valuation project for a Land agent – checking abnormal development costs from the Developer in order to agree the valuation of the land.
Brant Associates provided two expert reports on two Final Account Adjudications. The Adjudicator accepted Brant’s valuations without amendment in each adjudication. In response to the other side’s comments regarding the objectivity and therefore usefulness of our reports the Adjudicator replied;
“On balance, I have been happy with the apparent objectivity of the reports of Mr Brant. I also found the reports themselves to be of great assistance to me.”
Brant Associates successfully retained its membership of the Chartered Building Consultancy scheme from the Chartered Institute of Building. Brant Associates originally joined the scheme back in 2012, however the CIOB recently reviewed the Scheme and all CBC’s had to re-apply for their membership.
The CBC scheme has been developed by the industry for the industry. Its goals are to:
