January 2017

Brant Associates complete a valuation project for a Land agent – checking abnormal development costs from the Developer in order to agree the valuation of the land.



December 2016

Brant Associates provided two expert reports on two Final Account Adjudications. The Adjudicator accepted Brant’s valuations without amendment in each adjudication.  In response to the other side’s comments regarding the objectivity and therefore usefulness of our reports the Adjudicator replied;


“On balance, I have been happy with the apparent objectivity of the reports of Mr Brant. I also found the reports themselves to be of great assistance to me.”  



October 2016

Brant Associates successfully retained its membership of the Chartered Building Consultancy scheme from the Chartered Institute of Building.  Brant Associates originally joined the scheme back in 2012, however the CIOB recently reviewed the Scheme and all CBC’s had to re-apply for their membership.


The CBC scheme has been developed by the industry for the industry. Its goals are to:

 

Raise the profile of companies promoting best practice

Help organisations transition towards a fully qualified workforce

Become a trusted resource for clients 

Enhance the image of construction

Brant Associates attend the CIOB East of England Black tie dinner at St Catherine’s College, Cambridge.  The guest speaker was Simon Weston MBE.



July 2016

Ian Brant attends the Chartered Institute of Building’s Annual International Members Forum in Hong Kong.



May 2016

Brant Associates is commissioned to commence work on a unique project concerning a Jacobean Grade ii listed Manor House, once home to the First Lord Admiralty.



February 2016

Brant Associates is commissioned on a large project/dispute in the centre of London.  Working for a Sub-Contractor Brant Associates will be working closely with its Client to prepare a detailed Extension of time claim, Loss and Expense account, interim applications and ultimately a robust final account.  



October 2015

Ian Brant takes over as the Chairman for the UK and Ireland TimeZone of the Chartered Institute of Building.

Ian Brant and five Clients complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks for ‘fun’.  A gruelling day, setting off at 6 am the route includes 24 miles of walking and the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.  



April 2015

Brant Associates travelled to MK stadium with a Client to watch the Northampton Saints beat the Saracens 25-20.   Brant Associates is a season ticket holder at Franklins Gardens, home of the Northampton Saints RFC.
